Welcome to the IWA...

The Islamic Writers Alliance is an international, professional organization for Muslims involved in the literary arts -- published and aspiring authors, novelists, poets, essayists, publishers, editors, translators, illustrators, journalists, spoken word artists, bloggers, and playwrights. We support one another in our goals as writers, whether it be honing our craft, seeking publication opportunities, or promoting our published works to both the Muslim and non-Muslim world. We are dedicated to writing about, presenting, and supporting positive Islamic fiction and non-fiction reading materials, in all genres, for all ages.

The IWA is an inclusive organization and welcomes Muslim men and women of all races, ethnicities, linguistic backgrounds, abilities, and creeds. Welcome to our blog.

IWA Members in the News

IWA Members are often recongnized for their outstanding achivements and contributions to the Muslim community.

This month at WorkHalal.com, read what IWA member and founder, Linda D. Delgado, is doing to make sure a new set of Teacher Study Guides makes it into the hands of Muslim teachers (ultimately benefitting Muslim children).

Also read an independent review of Master of the Jinn, a novel by IWA member and Marketing Director, Irving Karchmar. Master of the Jinn is the current "book of the month" in the new Islamic Fiction Books discussion group recently created by Linda D. Delgado.

Finally, IWA member and Web Administrator, Amel S. Abdullah, has had her Blog for Muslim Writers selected for inclusion on the Writer's Digest Annual List of the 101 Best Websites for Writers in 2008.

Check out our News Archives for a list of member achievements since 2005.
